It's raining!!!

Ernest Hemingway.  I read his "classic" "Farewell to Arms."  It was a tough sled getting through it and what a dreadful ending.  No wonder he killed himself.

On of my memories of growing up in Northern Minnesota is walking on the freshly fallen snow.  I remember the sound of it crunching under my boots and the quiet when the snow was falling.  Wouldn't it be great to be walking in this picture right now?

Supposed to get some rain over the next 24 hours.  We'll see how that pans out.

Now that's a storm trooper I could get behind!!

Scream into The Wind

Scream into the wind
If you think that you must
Rail at the shadows
Kick at the dust

Cry into your whiskey
So no one else hears
Damn your own darkness
Drown in your tears

Shriek at the loneliness
That no one else knows
Wail at your bitterness
Wallow in your woes

Huddle and grope
Your way thru your morose
Cower and hide
Don’t let others get close

then

Kick that old dread
To the curb with resolve
Look to the future
Work to evolve

Take a deep breath now
and shed your last tear
A new day dawns fresh
A new you is here

Tough riding very far in those heels!!

Pac-man

I drop my shiny token
Into the token slot
Then I grab the joy stick
And give it all I got.

My little yellow Pac-man
Is running thru the maze
Eating all the yellow dots
Flying ‘round like he’s crazed.

The ghosts are in the center
Awaiting side by side
First one out is “Blinky”
Then “Pinky,” “Inky,” and “Clyde.”

My Pac-man eats a power pellet
The ghosts all turn and run
Fleeing at a rapid pace
Drat!  I only got one.

I move to the second level
My Pac-man running wild
Eating dots and feisty ghosts
Like they’re going out of style.

My Pac-man is eventually beaten,
Sadly, my turn is lost
A brief respite from reality
At such a little cost.

The man who did the financing of my car told me this very thing.  I asked him how he would know who was the good guy and who was the bad guy.  He told me he was the good guy and everyone else was suspicious.  OK.

I also just read a story about an argument in Picayune, Miss. at a gun shop over the cost of working on a gun.  The result, the owner of the gun shop and his son are dead and the customer and his sun are in ICU with gunshot wounds.  Jeeze!!
