Speak the Truth

“Just speak the truth,”

Some quickly say.

Others whisper,

“but don’t betray.”

So caught betwixt,

and trapped between.

What choice is there,

that won’t seem mean?

The decision makes,

me toss and turn.

The proper decision,

I must discern.

It’s easier said,

than actually done.

The chances to win,

are slim and none.

But… I’ll forge ahead,

the truth I’ll speak.

Its honesty and integrity,

I truly seek.
