Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Meghan McCain, MSNBC contributor and political pundit, gave a relatively revealing interview to Playboy Magazine this month.  "I'm not private about anything," the daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain told the magazine.  "I love sex and I love men."

Ms. McCain went on to state that she supports same-sex marriage and she's not gay.  "I'm strickly dickly.  For me, it's an issue of civil rights.  Who people want to sleep with and who they want to love should not have anything to do with government politics at all."

Pretty bold statements for a Republican woman.

Happy Birthday to Dana Delany!!!

Karen's Ultima had over 106,000 miles on it and had started to leak oil, so we decided it was time to replace it. We spend most of Saturday shopping for cars and ended up buying a Honda CR-V. It has lots of stuff on it including a built in GPS, sunroof, and heated seats.

Karen did a lot of research on line before hand.  We drove a Nissan, and looked at the Toyota Rav-4 and a couple of others.

It was a busy weekend. Friday I went for a 20 mile bike ride along the Santa Ana River. It was a beautiful day. Had a nice tail wind going south/west, and a head wind coming back.

As you can see, the weather was quite clear and sunny.

So it would seem that Archie's Comics has an issue out where two guys get married. The conservative group One million Moms tried to boycott Toys R Us for selling the comic book, but didn' t seem to have much of an effect.  The boycott has been stopped.  The group also tried to start a boycott of JC Penny stores for having Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesman.  That boycott never caught on either. 

The March Moon is the Moon of innocence and new beginnings. It heralds the arrival of spring and is the Full Moon preceding Ostara. Celebrate the coming of spring. Plan your herbal garden, bless the seeds of the herbs you are about to plant. Other new beginnings should be looked for.... a new relationship, a new job, new energy, a new pet, new travel. All are new beginnings and fit into a celebration of spring. Pick something 'new' that you anticipate or need in your life and build your Full Moon ritual around it. Ask the Elements for help in creating this new beginning.

I just finished reading this book, and may have to read it again.  Here are a couple of excerpts: 

Lucid living is being conscious that you have two aspects to your identity right now.  Your apparent nature is the person you appear to be, but your essential nature is awareness which is witnessing all you experience.  Right now, just as when you are dreaming, you are awareness appearing to be a person. 

Although we appear to be separate individuals within  the life-dream, there is only one awareness dreaming the life-dream.  Your essential nature is the same as everyone else's essential nature.  We appear to be many, but essentially we are one.
