They really knew how to dress in the 60's.

Spoon feeding "Obamacare" to the Republicans!! Over 7 million people have signed up for health care under the ACA.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Mary Lucy Denise "Marilou" Henner who turned 62 years young yesterday.  Of course we know that today's 62 is the old 40 - you know - mid-life.  LOL

A good friend and former co-worker Jennifer Fernald has decided to retire after 28 years in the communications division of WCPD.  You would think that after that many years as a dispatcher she would be ready to hang it up, but no, she will be taking a position with the San Manual Indian Casino as a dispatcher.  Congratulations to Jenny.

Yesiree, today is opening day at Dodger Stadium. But I won't be able to watch the game on television because the Dodgers Owners Group sold the television rights to Time Warner Cable (TWC) for $8.35 billion in a 25-year deal. TWC is said to be in negotiations with other cable companies but I don't see my cable company Verizion having "SportsNetL.A. anytime soon. The Dodgers Owners Group has said they are doing everything they can to improve things "for the fan." It would appear that their greed speaks louder than their PR. Greedy bastards!!

I received a flier from the Tropicana Express Hotel in Laughlin on Monday indicating that Rascal Flatts was appearing for one night on Saturday April 12th.  So I called and secured a package deal for two nights and two tickets for the concert for $200.  Karen is a big fan of Rascal Flatts.

Oops!!

Lucille Kring is a councilwoman for the City of Anaheim who is running for mayor of Anaheim. After a recent officer involved shooting in her city, she sent out a tweet that said, "Oh goody, the guys dead so we don't need a trial. Always a good outcome." Probably not the smartest thing to share with the public.

The Dodgers will play the San Diego Padres this afternoon at 5:00 PM to officially open the 2014 Major League baseball season.  While the Dodgers have the largest payroll of any major league team, ESPN writers are picking the St. Louis Cardinals or Washington Nationals to win the World Series.  We will have to see.

The Dodgers' hopes will rest on how healthy the team can stay.  Dodger starting picture Clayton Kershaw has just been put on the disabled list to start the season. Let's hope this isn't a omen of things to come. I have several Dodger players on my fantasy team this year, including Yesiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Zack Greinke, and Hyun-Jin Ryu.

The Dodger game tonight is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN.  Let's hope it's not blacked out by the greedy bastard Dodger owners because of their new greedy bastard TV network.   Just saying!!

No orgy there!
I sure do miss being able to go to San Onofre State Beach.

We've had quite a swarm of earthquakes in the last 24 hours.  Corey felt one just before we left for dinner about 5:00 PM on Friday. That one was 3.1.  The news said there was a 3.6 at about 8:00 PM and then the biggest one was at just after 9:00 PM.  I was sitting on the couch watching the Dodgers/Angels baseball game on TV when it hit.  It started with a gentle rolling, then a big jolt, then more rolling.  The big one was a 5.1 magnitude.  About the time it finished here in Ontario, I could see the outfield camera at Dodger Stadium shaking the TV picture.  The announcers commented that they were experiencing an earthquake.

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
 WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
 WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
 WITNESS: No…
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
 WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Joke sent to me by my Lil Sis Kathy.

I confess that I've been ignoring my bike recently. It's no secret that I'm a wuss when it comes to cold weather.  Give me a hot sunny day anytime.  I know for a fact that there will be many hot summer days in the months ahead.
