From a Child’s Eyes
Its OK honey, now you’re safe in my arms,
He won’t be back, won’t do you any more harm.
Yes honey, a bad man came into your school,
I don’t know why he was being so cruel.
What honey, you heard the loud noises through the door?
And Mrs. Simpson told you to lie on the floor?
What honey, your classroom door burst open with a bang?
And a bad man came in and shot Suzie and Chang?
What honey, Mrs. Simpson yelled at the man to get out?
But the man was very angry and shot all about?
What honey, Mrs. Simpson screamed and fell to the floor?
And the bad man yelled something and shot even more?
Yes honey, you were shot in the back and the leg,
Yes honey, the man also shot Mandy and Greg.
No honey, I don’t know why the man was so mad,
Some people just seem to be really really bad.
What honey, you don’t want to go back to your class?
Yes honey, they’ll clean up the blood and the glass.
No honey, Mrs. Simpson won’t still be your teacher,
Yes honey, she's in heaven where the bad man can't reach her.

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite "Bond Girls," Teri Lynn Hatcher who turned 51 today.
Teri has been married twice and has one daughter Emerson Rose who is 18 years old.
Teri spent several years on the TV series, "Desperate Housewives."
Teri is apparently quite an athlete, having done the Malibu Triathlon.

Bullets flying
people screaming
diving under desks
and into closets.
Bullets hitting
bodies
tearing into flesh
severing muscle
and crushing bone.
Bombs exploding
shrapnel flying
bodies dismembered
and blood hitting
walls.
Taking lives
leaving despair
destroying families
and ending dreams.
Sirens blaring
clean up the mess
nothing changes
and life goes on.
and then
Bullets flying
people screaming...
