The whole immigration drama took place during my absence.  Thousands of children, including infants, were separated from the parents at the southern border and sent off to camps. Several hundred have still not been reunited with their parents.  How sad.

Last Wednesday Justin got two free Dodger tickets from a friend who couldn't use them.  The seats were two rows behind the Dodger dugout, the closest I've ever sat at a major league game. The game was won on a walk-off home run by Grandal, and Justin and I were caught in the above photo. I'm wearing the blue/white shirt, Justin in all black to the right.

Lover of Books

Books on all the tables,

Books stacked on the floor.

It’s not too many books you see,

There’s room for many more.

Shelves packed to overflowing,

Counters have disappeared.

Each book much like a child to me,

Each one so near and dear.

Someone spoke of hoarding,

Quite slanderous to be sure.

A twelve-step program may be found,

To offer up a cure.

      I’ll keep my books and thank you,

To not besmirch my name.

Several more books are on the way,

I may be quite insane.

Children see their mom or dad suddenly subjected to force, shoved out of cars, handcuffed and then simply spirited away.  No child should ever be subjected to this, period.  The sheer trauma it will generate can last a lifetime.  Yes, these are noncitizens.  Yes, many have broken the law.  But they are also children.  Every day we numb ourselves to these core violations of decency, America dies a little. 

When challenged on this, of course, tRUMP simply lied and insisted that the Democrats came up with this "horrible law."  Has nothing to do with what his own ICE is doing, he tells us.  Nothing.

The think about this despicable man is that he doesn't even have the courage to own his cruelty.

Under President Obama people who were caught crossing the border illegally weren't prosecuted unless they had been previously caught or had been deported before for a violent crime.  The tRUMP administration has now taken the view that everyone caught will be prosecuted.  This has caused a huge backlog in cases and the extended time of separation of parents from their children.  So the kids of all ages are being stockpiled in make shift shelters and tRUMP is going to start building tent cities to house all of the children.

Sessions and Sarah Sanders have now taken to quoting the bible in Romans 13, "obey the law" to justify their actions.  tRUMP meanwhile blames the Democrats in Congress for not giving him his wall for the enforcement of this terrible law which he would love to correct if only the democrats would get on board with his immigration reform.  Blah blah blah....

tRUMP met our allies last week at the G-7 summit and managed to piss them all off. This photo came out and, as you can see, been used in various adaptions to show what really happened there. tRUMP left the summit early and then told his staff not to sign a joint statement because the president of Canada bashed him in the media.

I had to take some time away from posting on Facebook and my blog to kind of clear my head of all the bullshit. While I was gone, tRUMP met with the dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. tRUMP declares it was wonderful summit, but other don't seem so sure.
