El Monte PD lost two officers yesterday, gunned down by a suspect in a stabbing investigation at a local motel.  I worked with Cpl. Paredes during my short time at El Monte PD. and I remember him being a very friendly guy with a big smile all the time.  Officer Santana was after my time there. Sad. 

Happy birthday wishes go out today to American actress/film maker, Helen Hunt, who turns 59 today.

Ohio apparently already allowed school personnel to carry a gun on campus.  The new law changed the requirements for carrying a gun from 700 hours of training to 70. I'm sure Ohio won't be the only state to go here.  I'll keep an eye on this one. 

 

Just read an article that talked about a woman who drove 17 hours from Texas to North Carolina to get an abortion.  Sad.
