Friday evening Karen and I had dinner at the original Pinnacle Peak restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.  It is nestled in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, hence the name.  This restaurant is bigger than the one in San Dimas and has a wider menu to chose from.  It also has hundreds of ties hanging from the ceiling like the San Dimas restaurant.  If you've never been to Pinnacle Peaks, if you wear a tie the waitresses will cut it off and hang it from the ceiling.

I don't usually make a habit of taking photographs in the men's room.  I suppose it is frowned upon in some cultures.  LOL  Well there was the time I took a photograph of the urinal in the men's room in the lobby of the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo.  But the stalls in the men's room of Pinnacle Peaks were exceptional. Don't you think??

The restaurant prides itself on it's steaks and their size.  This is the steak I ordered, the cowboy. There is an even bigger one, the big cowboy. (go figure)  The steak comes with beans, bread, and a salad.  I ordered a baked potato as well.  It was quite yummy.  Karen had the salmon, which she said was very good also.

Friday afternoon Karen and I went to the first of two Dodger baseball games this weekend. The Dodgers played the Cincinnati Red's. The skies were clear and the temps were in the high 80's.  It was a bit warm, but the shade overtook our seats at about the 4th inning.

As you can see, we had pretty nice seats.  Clayton Kirshaw was the starting pitcher and did quite well for six innings after giving up two runs in the first. We ended up losing the game 5-4 when the Red's second stringers scored 3 runs in the ninth against our 2nd stringers. It was apparently a split squad affair, as Matt Kemp, Andre Either, and AJ Ellis were not in attendance.

Camelback Ranch is a nice facility shared by the Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. There was a big crowd, with many Reds fans in attendance.  Of course I had to have a Dodger Dog for lunch.  Karen was a bit bummed as there were no raw onions available in the condiments.

Saturday evening we will attend our second Dodger game against the Chicago White Sox at 7:00 PM.

Karen and I are in Phoenix for the weekend to take in a couple of spring training baseball games. We also picked up a couple of tickets for the Phoenix Coyotes hockey game Thursday evening. We made the drive to Phoenix in about 5 hours, stopping at the Starbucks in Blythe and for gas over the border in Arizona.

This is the front entrance of Jobing.com arena, the home of the Phoenix Coyotes. The arena is about 7 miles from our motel. It looks a lot like the area around the Staple Center here.

It was a good game with the Vancouver coming out on top 2-1.  I believe there were as many Vancouver fans here as Phoenix fans.

Hillary Clinton came out today in support of same-sex marriage, perhaps positioning herself for a run for the presidency in 2016.  2016!!!  I can't believe we are talking about the next presidential election already!!  But I'm glad to see more people in the public eye coming out in favor of same-sex marriage.
