The Time is Right

Run away with me Karen, the time is right,

We’ll catch a boat, a train, a flight.

We’ll stay for days, for weeks, or more,

We’ll stroll the streets of foreign lands,

Absorb the sights while hand in hand.

A cup of coffee at a street café,

Or dine at sunset along the bay.

Another school shooting last Friday in Sante Fe, Texas.  A 17-year old white male, publicly turned down by a girl he was practically stalking, shoots up an art classroom killing eight students and two teachers.  One of the dead is the girl who turned him down.  The weapons were a handgun and a pump shotgun that belonged to the suspect's father.  A school resource officer engaged the suspect in a gun battle for 25 minutes before the suspect gave up.  The officer was wounded but is expected to recover.

I don't have the words yet to express my feelings.
