Sirus: the brightest star in the night sky is actually a binary star system.

Pollux: a giant orange star, approx. 34 light years from earth.

Arcturus: Polynesian navigators knew the star Arcturus as Hokule'a or the "Star of Joy."


I have to confess, I had never heard of any of the stars in the last two photos.
