Being
Sick Sucks
I’m lying here in bed,
Just a
bundle of gloom,
The curtains
are drawn,
It’s as dark
as a tomb.
I’m running
a fever,
Of one
hundred and some.
I’m hot then
I’m cold,
I just can’t
pick one.
I’m barking
like a seal,
It’s a
terrible croup.
The pain in
my chest,
Has sent me
for a loop.
I’m achy all
over,
I’ve been
hit by a truck.
A wise man
once said:
Being sick
in bed sucks.
