Texas State Representative Bryon Slaton is proposing placing a referendum for Texas succession from the United States on the 2024 ballot. Slaton says Texans should decide whether Texas should look into "Texas Independence" by succeeding form the USA.  Slaton stated, "after decades of contious  abuse of our rights and liberties by the Federal Government, it is time to let the people of Texas to make their voices heard."
