World-wide reactions are mixed:

Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival.
We could be gettin' some rain in the next day or two. I had better get my bucket (rain gauge) out!!!

Wednesday evening we went to the Angel game. Josh got some cheap tickets thru stubhub and none of his friends could attend, so his parents were the last resort!!! We were ahead in the game until the bullpen came into the game and gave it away.

Tori Hunter is one of my favorite players and he almost hit a homerun, settling for a triple.
Karen and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary on Thursday the 12th. We went to lunch at the Northwoods Restaurant in Covina for lunch and had red and green salad and cheese bread. Yum yum!!!!

Twenty-seven years, and our tastes in most everything are opposite. She likes grape jelly, I like strawberry. She like the coconut girl scout cookies and I like the mints. We would probably have never been put together on eharmony!!!

Happy Anniversary My Sweet!!!

Update on Brian and Selina. They lost the shingles on about 1/4 of their roof. Their power was off for about 5-6 days but it's back on now. They also lost several windows.

On the plus side; The university canceled all of Selina's finals. They are back in their house now.

And poor Brian, the Lakers are getting their butts kicked by the Dallas Mavs in the playoffs!!!

Somewhere in this photo is my next grand child. Yes, Brian and his wife Selina are expecting their first child in 9 weeks or so.

**So perhaps it's not quite nine weeks from now. The child is due in the first part of December. Selina is about 9 weeks along. Duh!!!
Some serious looks on the faces of our leaders as the Navy Seals invaded Bin Laden's compound.
The big news seems to be that Bin Laden was killed by US forces in Pakistan in recent days. They're making a big deal about having to confirm it's him thru DNA. What do they compare his body too? It's not like all the bad guys in the world have their DNA on file somewhere???

I'm actually surprised at how happy some people are over this.

Sirus: the brightest star in the night sky is actually a binary star system.

Pollux: a giant orange star, approx. 34 light years from earth.

Arcturus: Polynesian navigators knew the star Arcturus as Hokule'a or the "Star of Joy."

I have to confess, I had never heard of any of the stars in the last two photos.
Sung to the "Hokey Pokey" song.
