16 Firearms, Including AR-15, seized by Covina Police during arrest in Ontario.

Covina police Thursday jailed an Ontario convicted felon and registered sex offender on suspicion of stealing an arsenal of firearms, family heirlooms and other items in thefts throughout the San Gabriel Valley, officials said.
Christopher Montgomery, 30, was booked on suspicion of residential burglary and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearms, Covina police Sgt. Gregg Peterson said.
Montgomery had a loaded handgun in his backpack when arrested, and an additional 15 guns — including an AR-15, other rifles and handguns — were recovered from inside his home in the 400 block of West Locust Street in Ontario, Peterson said. Thousands of rounds of ammunition believed to have been stolen from the home were also recovered at Montgomery’s residence.

The best part of this article from the Tribune is, "Police identified Montgomery as a suspect in the October burglary in Covina through forensic evidence collected at the scene, Covina police said in a written statement."   WCPD's FIU unit handles all the evidence for Covine P.D. Way to go guys!!!

Meet Miss America 2013, Miss New York, 23 year old Mallory Hagan. Miss Hagan is from Brooklyn, New York, and a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology studying Advertising, Marketing, and Communications.

During the question & answer portion of the competition, Miss Hagan was asked about gun control and armed security on school campuses.  She answered, ""I don't think the proper way to fight violence is with violence," Hagan responded. "I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period."

During the talent competition, Miss Hagan performed a tap dance routine to James Brown's "Get up Off of That Thing."

Bicycle seat warmer

With all this cold weather, I could use one of these.  Might melt my bike shorts though.  This was sent to my by my good friend Jack who rides real early in the morning and probably needs it more than me.  Thanks Jack.

"How far did I go in school? Well... occasionally, all the way."

Second day fighting this cold.  My head is stuffed up and I can't hear a thing.

If you believe in those sort of things.

It would appear that I've caught Josh's cold.  My ears are plugged up, my body aches.  I had to have Josh listen to my messages on my cell phone because I couldn't hear them.  UGH!!  I don't want to be sick!!!

Started reading this today.

Peaceful warriors have the patience to wait
until the mud settles and waters clear.
They remain unmoving until the right time,
so the right action arises by itself.
They do not seek fulfillment, but wait with open arms
to welcome all things.
Ready to use situations, wasting nothing,
they embody the Light.

Peaceful warriors have three great treasures:
simplicity, patience, and compassion.
Simple in actions and in thoughts,
they return to the source of Being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
they live in harmony with the way things are.
Compassionate towards themselves,
they make peace with the world.

Some may call this teaching nonsense:
others may call it lofty and impractical.
But to those who have looked inside themselves,
this nonsense makes perfect sense.
And for those who put it into practice,
this loftiness has deep roots.
