It would seem that a Unitarian Universality church in Mountain Home, Arkansas, put a letter in the local newspaper stating that they welcomed everyone at their church regardless of their race, religion, or sexuality. In no time at all the church had a window shot out and the note shown below left behind.

The article has a subtitle of "They'll know we are Christians by out love..." which is a popular Christian hymn.  The part that struck me is how the writer describes President Obama.  I guess it's safe to say we still have a race problem in this country.  "True Southerners"? Republican for sure.

And what will you do with that power you crave?
Who will you kill and who will you save?
Who will you cage and who will you free?
Where will you go and who will you be?

And what will you think and how will you cope,
if you don't ever get all the power you hope?
but instead you get stuck with the power you got?

Well, I'll tell ya, that powers a powerful lot,

its the power to realize you have your own will,
you don't have to cage and you don't have to kill.

You can save and uplift and unearth, and discover,
and share and inspire as you help one another,

and you don't have to live at the top of the tower,
when you grow from the dirt like a beautiful flower,

and you don't need an excuse to give some away,
you've got plenty of hours and plenty of days,

and plenty of time to change plenty of lives,
with your hands and your heart and your work and your mind

So try not to envy the powers that be
because you have the power to be powerfully free.

The Republicans will now have the majority in both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.  Let's see if they do anything.

I think I learned to type on a typewriter like that one.  Yes I was able to see past the stockings!! I only took typing in high school because there were lots of girls in the class.  LOL. The class has served me well over the years.

Happy Birthday to Loretta Jane Swit, aka Major Margarete "Hot Lips" Houlahon, from the TV series M*A*S*H who turned 77 years young today.  Ms. Swit is divorced and has no children.

Ms. Swit is probably best known for her 11 seasons and 251 episodes of M*A*S*H stretching from 1972 to 1983.

I always seem to learn something new when I do these birthday wishes.  I learned that Ms. Swit was actually married to actor Dennis Holahan, the last name of her character on M*A*S*H, and her husband had a role in a M*A*S*H episode.  Who knew??

According to the "Daily Bulletin" we got about 3/4 of an inch of rain in the wee hours of Saturday Morning. We need about a dozen more of those type of storms.  Not enough to flood everything, but enough to start fighting this drought.

It was a chilly ride to the beach this morning.
Miley Cyrus gets a lot of press for dressing or not dressing in a provocative manner.  On Wednesday Oct. 29th,  she wore this dress to the amfaR LA Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles to raise funds for AIDS research.  Nothing unusual there.  What should be noted though is that Ms. Cyrus donated $500,000 to the cause.

Chaffey Joint Union High School District Personnel Department - Halloween 2014.  Karen is the third minion from the right with her chin on her fist.

I knew it!

So FoxNews is blaming President Obama for the low gas prices by saying  the "cheap gas hurts economy?"  President Obama just can't get a break from FoxNews.  Not that he loses any sleep over it I'm sure.

I paid $2.89 a gallon at the Ralph gas station last Thursday.  What a difference from what, two summers ago, when it was over $5.00 a gallon?
