I'm still in shock over the results of the presidential election. As I predicted, protests have indeed begun in the streets all across the nation. The "greedy bastard" controlled media and many Republican mouth pieces are, of course, calling them riots and condemning them. I support them as a voice of the "others" that President elect Donald Trump was so often quoted as hating. He needs to know that the "others" are out here and scared for their future. He has said he will be the president for all Americans. We'll see.

I sat in my living room on Tuesday evening watching the election returns and it became evident early on that Donald Trump was going to win. I am sad today because of the election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States. Terribly sad.
I, like so many others, am afraid for our nation when unfettered capitalism takes hold at the cost of human rights. The current treatment of our Native Americans in North Dakota is a prime example of what we can expect.
I told my wife this morning she should go out and buy a poodle skirt and saddle shoes because we are going to be thrust back into the 50's where women are told to stay in the kitchen and the LGBT quake in the closet. "Others" of every stripe are in peril I fear.
Protests have already started. Officers in WC caught a black man spray painting "fuck Trump" on a wall right out on a major thoroughfare today. More protests are sure to follow.
I may join in.

Officer Justin Martin and Sgt. Tony Bemino of the Urbanland Police Department were ambushed 20 minutes apart, in their respective units, by a white supremacist nut case. A couple of weeks ago the suspect was involved in a disturbance at a football game where he hoisted a confederate flag near some black spectators during the national anthem. Urbandale officers apparently asked him to leave the game.
Where is the outrage by the mainstream media? Oh the suspect is a white guy and a patriot. Can't pin it on BLM!! Many more of these nut jobs may come out of the woodwork when Trump is defeated next week.
Keep your head down.

Have you noticed how little news coverage there is over the fight by Native Americans to preserve their land from the "greedy bastards in North Dakota? Native Americans are thought of by many as 2nd or 3rd class citizens and therefore have no rights. Rights to lands they were once banished to when it was thought it was a wasteland where they could be hidden away.
Of course the main reason there is no news coverage is because the "greedy bastards" own the media and only allow what they deem important as news.

Last week I posted a news story about R & B singer Sevyn Streeter not being allowed to sing the national anthem at a Philadelphia 76rs game because of this shirt. The 76rs have issued the following apology:
“We are sorry that this happened. After receiving feedback from our players, basketball operations staff and ownership group, we believe that the wrong decision was made, and Sevyn should have been welcomed to sing,” the organization said in a statement.
The statement went on to say that Sevyn would be invited back to sing at the game of her choice.
The fight continues!!!
