I just learned today that another of the babes of my youth passed away. Suzanne Pleshette passed away on January 19th in Los Angeles from lung cancer at 70 years of age. She is best remembered as Emily Hartly, the wife of Bob Newhart on the series "The Bob Newhart Show" from 1972-1977. She was also in the movie "The Birds" and all the series popular in my youth like Dr. Kildare, Have Gun Will Travel, and Route 66. She also acted on Broadway and did voices in movies like The Lion King. Her first husband was Troy Donahue, but the marriage only lasted eight months. She is survived by her third husband, Tom Poston.
