Lynda Carter, AKA "Wonder Woman" turns 59 years old today. Linda Jean Cordova Carter was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Carter is married to attorney Robert Altman and they have two children, James and Jessica. They currently live in Potomac, Maryland.

Ms. Carter started her career as a singer and was in a small group with two of her cousins called, "Relatives." Gary Burghoff, "Radar" from "M.A.S.H." was the group's drummer. Ms. Carter won the Miss World USA Pageant as Miss Arizona in 1972.

Ms. Carter's acting career started off with guest appearances on "Matt Helm" "Cos." and "Starsky and Hutch." Ms. Carter also did a few "B- movies", including her only nude scenes in a move entitled, "Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw."

Ms. Carter is best know for her role as "Diana Prince" AKA "Wonder Woman," in the TV series by the same name. She made 60 episodes in the series that ran from 1975 to 1979.

Ms. Carter continues to act, having recently appeared on "Law & Order," and "The Dukes of Hazzard." Ms. Carter has recorded two albums, done various voice overs, and been the spokeswoman for "Maybelline Cosmetics" and "1-800-contacts."
