Christmas Stress
Who would
have thunk,
No one could
have guessed.
Just days
before Christmas,
I’d be this
damned stressed.
The stockings
aren’t hung,
The tree’s
still in the box.
Hung one
string of lights,
And got a
hell of a shock.
Made a trip
to the mall,
And found
much to my dismay,
There’s
nothing left to buy,
Nothing left
on display.
I tried
baking cookies,
A fruitcake
and fudge.
Several firemen
showed up,
And left me
with sludge.
So my
message to you
As I assess my dire plight.
Merry Christmas
to all,
And to all a
good night.
