My good friend Jim is a grandpa once again. Jim's daughter, Cindy, gave birth to Elizabeth Irene Gonzales last Saturday evening at about 7:06 PM. Elizabeth weighed in at 6 lbs 8 ozs and was 20 inches long. Mom and baby are both home and doing well. Grandpa, who was in Idaho fishing, made it home two hours before delivery. In his defense, the delivery was two weeks early.

I met with the proud grandpa Wednesday for lunch and he showed me the baby photo. What a cutie!!! She's got Jim's chubby cheeks!! He also had several "fish stories" from his trip and says he has photos to back up his story. We'll see. Congrats to Cindy and Robert!!!
