Twins Win!!!
After a 4 1/2 hour marathon baseball game, my Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers 6-5 to win the central division of the American League of major league baseball. The Twins are the first team in major league history to be three games behind with four games left in the season and win the division. Of course it took a one-game playoff game to decide the winner, but win they did.
The Twins were behind 3-0 after three innings but battled back to tie and even go ahead once. They finally won in the bottom of the 12th inning on a single to right field by by Alexi Casilla that scored Carlos Gomez.
The Twins now travel to New York to take on the Yankees. The first game of that series starts Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Go Twins!!!
