Goldie started taking tap dance lessons at the age of three and danced in the chorus of "The Nutcracker" at the age of 10. At 16, Goldie made her stage debut in "Romeo and Juliet" at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival.
Goldie's big break came when she became a regular cast member of the 60's classic "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in." Goldie is known for her giggling personality and dancing in a bikini with her body painted with different messages.
In 1969, Goldie won an Academy Award for her performance in the movie "Cactus Flower." I remember her most for her roles in "Private Benjamin", and "Death Becomes Her."
Interestingly, Goldie is a direct descendant of Edward Rutledge, on her father's side, who signed the Declaration of Independence.

Little known fact, their son plays hockey here at UAH and they own a condo at the top of the Westin hotel.
