This is the entrance and front of the school. If you look closely you can see metal bars across the windows. The windows also have metal louvers and buildings have 8' wide cement walls. All of these precautions are for potential hurricanes and tropical storms.
This is the center/quad area of the school. Downstairs on the right are classrooms and upstairs on the right are bedrooms for the staff. Each morning school starts out with the raising of the American and Puerto Rico flags.
The students and staff then have a half hour of chapel where the songs are led by the students. This morning's songs were led by Johanelly.
About 3:30 pm, Jenny, Jim and I went to Blue Beach which is about 15 minutes from the school. It is still the tail end of hurricane season and so there aren't may tourists around. As you can see the beach was practically deserted. The water was almost bath tub water warm.
