I keep hearing about how prices for airline tickets are skyrocketing. It would make sense that they would have to raise their prices to keep up with the cost of jet fuel.
So I went on http://www.expedia.com/ to check the price of a round trip ticket to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Today's cost for the trip is $573.00. Yesterday the same trip cost $563.00. Back in April of this year, when I last traveled to Puerto Rico, the cost for the exact same trip on American Airlines was $440.00. A difference of $133.00.
So I guess the headlines are true. There is even talk of charging for carry-on luggage and charging people more who are of the larger persuasion.
