Law Enforcement gone Awry??

Police in Columbia, S.C. have arrested eight people in connection with their on-going investigation into the now infamous photograph of Olympic gold medalist Micheal Phelps taking a hit from a bong.

Attorney Joseph McCulloch said he has a client who was charged with possession of marijuana and questioned about the now-infamous party Phelps attended near the University of South Carolina campus in November. He said his client's roommate also was arrested.

Attorney McCulloch added, ""Our clients answered questions but I don't know that their information would be helpful to law enforcement," he said. "It seems to me that Richland County has a host of its own crime problems much more serious than a kid featured in a photograph with a bong in his hand."


I have to agree with the attorney, which is tough for me to do. I have to wonder how they hope to prosecute someone from a photograph. How do they prove possession? In these times of tight police budgets, this sure seems like a waste of money.

Michael has already been suspended from swimming for three months and Kellogg's Cereal dropped his endorsements. What a crock of shit!!!
