Judge: Wrecked car must stay in woman's yard as reminder of crash
VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- A woman who pleaded guilty in a drunken driving crash that seriously injured a man won't have to look far for a reminder of that crash once she gets out of jail.
The judge who sentenced 30-year-old Stephanie Pochron Tuesday to six months in jail also ordered that her wrecked car remain in her front yard until she completes three years of probation.
The judge had Pochron's car towed to her yard to serve as a daily reminder of the problems she caused in the July 9 crash that seriously injured an Ohio man.
After that crash, police said Pochron had a blood-alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit for driving.
