I came across this story the other night and just haven’t been able to get it out of my head. I confirmed it by doing a search on “Wabasha Minnesota Catholic School” if you want to look into it yourself.
In an AP News story it’s reported that a 23 year old female teacher at a private Catholic School in Wabasha, Minnesota was asked to resign or be fired after telling her supervisor that she was pregnant and not married. Emily Prigge, 23 years old, had been a fifth grade teacher at the school for about 6 months. She admits to signing a “Catholic Christian Witness Statement” where she agreed to be a good example of a Christian in her personal and academic life.
Where is the love here? Instead of wrapping the young lady in The Creator's love and supporting the woman in every way possible, the church chose to put this unwed mother-to-be on unemployment. The Creator's love for us in unconditional. Love The Creator – Love One Another. Can it get any simpler than that?

It's pretty pathetic, isn't it?? They kicked her to the curb without her wage AND insurance. It appears they would have preferred that she had an abortion - or lied alltogether.
