The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are out of the American League playoffs after losing to the dreaded Boston Red Soxs 3-2 last night. The Angels, who had the best win-lose record in the regular season, lost the series three games to one.
The score was tied at 2 in the top of the ninth inning and the Angels had a runner on third with one out. The Angels tried a "squeeze play", which for you non-baseball fans, is when the runner starts to run home from third and the batter bunts the ball. It's meant to be a surprise play. The problem with this particular squeeze play is that the batter missed the bunt. The runner from third was tagged out trying to run back to third base.

In the bottom of the ninth inning Boston scored a run on a double and a single. End of series. The Red Sox will play the Tampa Bay Rays and the Dodgers play the Phillies.
