I see this all the time and I don't think people realize just how out of control they are when the text when they drive.  I saw a guy the other day drive onto the shoulder for quite a distance.  Luckily there were no cars parked on the shoulder or he would have been meeting with the guy on the right.  Remember at 70 mph, you are traveling over 100 feet per second.  So in just three seconds you can travel the length of a football field.

Monday President Obama stopped by Friendship Park in Washington D.C. to visit with some Little Leaguers.  Apparently some of the kids didn't know who he was, and some, (republicans) weren't too impressed and just wanted to get on with playing baseball.  LOL

Effective yesterday, Disneyland has raised it's one-day for one-park ticket price to $96.  Disneyland is also doing away with its cheapest yearly passes.  So in looking at the Disneyland web site, the cheapest annual pass is $289, but you only get to use it 170 days of the year.  Less than half the year.  The premium yearly pass, with no black out dates, runs you $699.  Conveniently priced under $700.  LOL  But you can make monthly payments.  Greedy Bastards!!!  I guess I'll never see California Adventure.

When we were in Alabama a couple of weeks ago Brian took us to a art exhibit in downtown Huntsville.
On display was a pencil drawing done by my grandson Ethan for school.  He has a lot of talent. (Said by a proud grandpa)

Today Karen and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary.  We went to dinner at the Bass Pro Shop restaurant at Victoria Gardens.  Time sure flies when you're having a good time.

I had my yearly physical last Thursday.  My doctor told me everything was fine except for my diet and weight.  I asked her if I could get an appointment for liposuction and a a tummy tuck and start over.  She didn't seam to find that funny.

Karen and her boss was being wined and dined by one of the medical insurance companies from her work Saturday evening, so I went to a Quakes baseball game against the Lake Elsinore Storm.  I had never been to the Lake Elsinore stadium before.  It's pretty nice.  I really liked the man operated score board.

The hot dogs were pretty good and there was a 31 Flavors in the stadium.  It was quite chilly so I left after the 7th inning, which is quite rare for me.
