What would Halloween be without, "Elvira Mistress of the Dark",  Cassandra Peterson. The star of "Elvira's Movie Macabre" in 1981, Elvira  was famous for her cleavage and "valley girl" type comments during commercial breaks. When she posed for Playboy I learned that she is actually a blonde.

Every department at Karen's school district dresses up for Halloween.  Personnel dressed up as minions this year.

R.I.P.

Pomona SWAT Officer Shaun Diamond, 45, 16 year veteran and father of two, was shot serving a search warrant on a mongols house Tuesday morning.  He died of his wounds Wednesday morning.

As you can see from this photo, it was a clear day at Huntington Beach on Saturday.  I rode to the beach on Saturday instead of Sunday to attend the Ontario Reign hockey game on Sunday.

The Reign didn't play well and lost 3-0.

Friday evening Karen and I went to the Colony HS football game against Chaffey HS. It was real close in the first half and then Colony went ahead to stay in the third quarter. We won 27-15.

The Colony HS marching band did a great job during half time with their program.

Our hero showed up first thing this morning in a truck similar to this one.  Our TV, internet, and phones all went out about 4:30 Tuesday evening.  The hero replaced a box out in the garage and all was back to normal.  It was weird being "out of touch" so to speak for so long.  Granted we each had our cell phones, but no internet???

I decided my bike tires needed a little dirt, so I rode 22 miles in and around Puddingstone Lake and Bracket Field.  It was a great day for a ride with cool temps and a slight breeze.

Sure missed my trips to San Onofre State Beach this year.
Gotta love this photo of Mr. President

It was a beautiful day today at Huntington Beach.  Rode to the beach from Anaheim Hills today, first time in 5-6 weeks due the cold I caught.  The skies were mostly clear with temps in the low 70's.

I'm thinking of doing a 33-mile ride Nov. 8th starting in Claremont.  It's called the Tour De Foothills.  I'm waiting for them to post the route before I commit, as it's $70 to enter.  They say it is mostly flat.   Might be fun - something different for sure.
