Angelina Jolie at the Oscars in 2004.  The Oscars are on again tonight.
My grandson, Ethan, drew this picture of a dragon and gave it to me.  He certainly didn't get his artistic abilities from me. Most of you know I can barely draw a stick man.

So, of course, it had to go on the refrigerator.

Amelia's first pair of jeans.

Indiana State Representative Bob Morris (R) was the only lawmaker in the state house to refuse to sign a resolution honoring the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts that was approved last week.  Rep. Morris told colleagues that he found allegations on the Internet that the Girl Scouts are a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood, that they allow transgender females to join, and encourage sex.

Rep. Morris went on to say, "abundant evidence proves that the agenda of Planned Parenthood includes sexualizing young girls through the Girl Scouts, which is quickly becoming a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood instructional series and pamphlets are part of the core curriculum at GSA training seminars. Denver Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley of Denver last year warned parents that “membership in the Girl Scouts could carry the danger of making their daughters more receptive to the pro-abortion agenda.”

Republicans are getting scarier and scarier!!!

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is reported to have spent over $18 billion on his campaign just in the month of January.  It seems like we should be able to find a better place to spend money like that, like say, feeding the hungry or providing shelter for the homeless, or even fixing our roads and infrastructure.

Today Karen and I are babysitting while Brian and Selina go to work.  They left us a car and the 10,000 things that go with a baby.  Thankfully the car has a GPS so we can find our way back to the house.
Sunday evening we were greeted by a cold front and snow!!! It snowed for a couple of hours, but it didn't stick to the ground.

Monday morning we woke to a winter wonderland.  Nothing on the ground, but lots of snow in the trees and on the fence posts etc.

We had an uneventful drive back to Huntsville.  In fact I drove most of the way to let Brian get in a well deserved nap.  They sure have nice smooth roads here.

Last week one of the cadets at El Monte rode a bike like this into work.  He is Asian as well.
Saturday evening we went to Dolly Parton's Dolly World and saw the Dixie Stampede. It was like the Medieval Times with live entertainment and food served without silverware. The two sides of the room were divided between north and south. We had a great time.

They served us en entire chicken, or perhaps it was a crow.  But it was good.  The service was very good.  I never had an empty soda glass.

Woke to rain this morning with a chance of snow as the day goes on!!!

Karen and I are staying the weekend in a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tn. in the Smokey Mountains. Along with Brian and his family, a third couple, John and Jaime. have joined us for the weekend.

The cabin has three floors, with a bedroom with a bath, on each floor.  The cabin also has a pool table on the bottom floor and a hot tub on the patio.

The forecast is for rain tonight and into Sunday, with a chance of an inch of snow Sunday night into Monday morning.  Snow angels!!!!!

Karen and I are in Huntsville, Al. for a week visiting my son Brian and his family.  We are going to be staying in a cabin in the Tennessee mountains over the weekend, so I don't know if I will have Internet access.  Expecting rain tomorrow which may mean snow in the mountains!!!  Yeah!!!
