Toilet Paper Blues

A nocturnal trip to the potty,
In the middle of the night.
Usually uneventful,
I’m sure you know my plight.

Crawl from under the covers,
Bare feet hit the floor.
Creep across the unlit room,
Heading for the door.

Target safely acquired,
Lean against the bowl.
Need some toilet tissue,
But nothing on the roll.

Groping through the cabinet,
A roll is finally found.
Feeling for the leading edge,
Alas it’s tightly bound.

Still can’t get it started,
My anger at its peak.
All I really wanted,
Was to quietly take a leak.

Take it from a survivor,
Always plan ahead.
Start the toilet paper roll,
Before you go to bed.

This is a scary guy.  Doesn't he have one of those faces you just want to punch to wipe the smirk off his face?

I'm currently reading this on the Kindle app on my Ipad.  It's the story of Camelot as seen through the eyes of the women, nee pagan priestesses, who worked to make things happen.  It's a fun read so far.

May have to print this out and post it at work.

I rode my bike from Anaheim Stadium to the Huntington Beach Pier yesterday.  It was a little chilly at the beach, but overall pretty nice.  I battled a head wind all the way to the pier and then had a nice tail wind going back to my car.  The beach wasn't very crowded being a Thursday and all. 34 miles round trip.
