Circumstances being what they’ve recently become,
Perhaps I’m more suited for the life of a bum.
I’ll hang up my loop, leave forensics behind,
Turning my back on the ol’ office grind.

I’ll turn in my keys and I’ll empty out my locker,
I’ll grease up the wheels on my trusty ol’ walker.
Their facade of being ethical is nothing more than burlesque,
The decisions of the staff seeming suddenly grotesque.

Do the right thing for the right reason I’ve preached,
To every young recruit I was able to reach.
Perhaps I’ve been wrong, naive or misguided,
Because “cover your ass” is how most things are decided.

So, I’ll head out the door with my head held up high,
I’ll call it a career with a nod and a sigh.
Others will take over, I won’t even be missed,
Don’t cry for me, I’m not really pissed.

This came out in response to those who were shocked when the Republican Congressman were shot at at baseball practice in Virginia, and the years of white supremacists demanding their followers to take up arms in defense of the 2nd Amendment during  the Obama Administration.
Yup.  One dollars worth of gas and we could cruise for the entire evening in my '54 Chevy.  Plus I worked weekends at the local car wash so i would always have a shiny clean car.
The aim of my trip was to attend a Twins game at Target Field.  It's a really nice stadium.

I kept score of the game, and kept quite busy keeping up.  Seattle kicked out butts 14-3.

You know where the Twins got their name?  From the "twin cities" of Minneapolis and St. Paul which sit on either side of the Mississippi River.

St. Paul is the state capital, and I drove over there on Wednesday before going to the Mall of America.  Big white building sitting on a hill.  It is barren around it.  They need to plant a park around it like we saw in Austin. It's busy there this weekend as they are having demonstrations over the not guilty verdict of an officer involved shooting that occurred in a Minneapolis suburb last summer.
