Placing the self checkout machines in places like Home Depot and Target have reduced the number of employees they have to hire.  Boycott self checkout machines. 

Happy Birthday to Annette Bening who turned 61 yesterday.  Annette is married to Warren Beatty and they have four children together.  I love her in "The American President" and "Open Range."  When she smiles her whole face lights up.

Ta Dah!!!

One of our day trips from Biloxi was to Mobile Alabama to see the Mobile Bay Bears play baseball. The game took place at the Hank Aaron Stadium.  There were about 300 people there.  It was a good game that ended with a Bears win 3-0.

After all the thousands of miles I've driven on road trips, it was only a matter of time, I suppose, before I was involved in a traffic accident.  Wednesday was that day as I was rear ended  at the end of an on ramp in Mobile Alabama.  Minor damage and no injuries thank goodness.  Cop came and took a report and I've filed a claim with my insurance.  No harm no foul I guess.

This reminds me that season 3 starts June 5th!!!

The main reason for our trip east was to attend the high school graduation of my grandson Ethan. Thankfully it was held inside and not out in the Alabama heat and humidity. Ethan's class totaled about 480 students.

There was a camera that showed each student walking across the stage shaking hands with officials and then off the stage.  I saw one student flash the "white power" (thumb and index finger touching and three fingers extended) sign at the camera.

We have left Huntsville and landed in Biloxi, Mississippi at the Scarlet Pearl Hotel and Casino. This is a great place and we've even won a few bucks.  One wall of our room is all windows and this is the view facing south towards Biloxi Bay, and beyond that, the Gulf of Mexico.
