I was in Pomona Court recently in my usual spot on the hard wood benches.  I was with 5-6 others waiting for our case to be called.  This is a pretty accurate of depiction of our group.  Me with a book, and the others all on their communication devices answering text messages or playing games.  I had to chuckle when I looked around the group.  I do have a cell phone, but it's not of the smart phone variety.
