Karen and I made it back from Las Vegas in one piece. We had a great time and even won a little money. The first night we went to a Las Vegas 51's triple A minor league baseball game. We ended up winning 10-8. I couldn't figure out what the 51's were all about until I saw the alien face on the shirts meaning area 51 nearby. It was 104 degrees when we got to the game and 94 degrees when we left. No much of a breeze either.

We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel.  We got two free nights for being a players club member.  The third night was about $39. Karen was the big winner this trip including the $491.80 in pennies shown below.  Karen won on a "Little Green Men" slot machine.

I think it was the new hat that changed her luck. We purchased the plastic cups shown siting in front of Karen at a "Dicks" restaurant in the casino.  The refills are only $9.00 ea.  

I won a bit as well, but gave it all back before leaving.  We played the "Willie Wonka" slot machines again and I had some good luck on a "Back to the Future" slot machine.

We got up at the crack of dawn this morning to get home by noon because I was on call for a court case and the court liaison was sure I would be needed today.  Of course, that was not the case, and as of 8:00 pm this evening I haven't heard back from him since lunch time.  Isn't that always the way?
