Rail at the shadows

Kick at the dust

Cry into your whiskey

So no one else hears

Damn your own darkness

Drown in your tears

Shriek at the loneliness

That no one else knows

Wail at your bitterness

Wallow in your woes

Huddle and grope

Your way thru your morose

Cower and hide

Don’t let others get close

then

Kick that old dread

To the curb with resolve

Look to the future

Work to evolve

Take a deep breath now

and shed your last tear

A new day dawns fresh
