Terror in Orlando

Terror in Orlando,

Innocent blood’s been shed.

Fifty people wounded,

another fifty dead.

Hatred again has run amok,

Extremism on display.

Time to say enough is enough,

Not look the other way.

Everyone should be aghast,

At the horror of this crime.

Young adults in the prime of life,

Taken before their time.

Politicians and pastors,

Out quick to deflect the blame.

Pointing fingers elsewhere,

All part of their pathetic game.

My heart is truly broken,

At this senseless act of hate.

Those innocent victims in Orlando,

Deserved a better fate.
