All this commotion about NFL players disrespecting the American flag.  This is the symbol of Blue Lives Matter, a police political action group started to oppose Black Lives Matter.

Flag etiquette states, "the flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it, any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature."

So who's really disrespecting the flag?

Every NFL team had some type of response to tRUMP's calling Kaepernick a SOB in Huntsville on Friday.  Many teams, including owners and staff, kneeled or joined arms or didn't come out until after the national anthem was done.  I like it!!!

One person: Nazis and fascists are terrible human beings. Violence against them needs to be encouraged and normalized.

Second person: But fighting violence with violence will never get anyone anywhere. I don’t agree one bit. Martin gained peace by PRACTICING. PEACE. Not by fighting.

“First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can’t agree with your methods of direct action;” who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a “more convenient season.”

– Martin Luther King Jr,

Me: I have to confess I have no problem seeing protesters blocking streets and even punching an occasional Nazi.  I feel like the French Resistance during WWII when it comes to fighting the Nazis - whatever it takes.

The Bully

Remember the kid,
You know the one.
The schoolyard bully,
Just tons of fun.

Who loved to tease,
To taunt, to scare.
Who sat behind you,
And pulled your hair.

He loved to fight,
To trip, to push.
and just for fun,
Threw you in a bush.

Well he grew up,
To buy, to sell.
And ran his businesses,
Straight to hell.

Then ran for office,
On hate, on scorn.
Became the president,
Of a nation torn.

He hasn’t stopped,
To taunt, to scare.
Sovereign nations,
Without a care.

Just like the schoolyard,
With words, with might.
He won’t be happy,
Till he starts a fight.

He must be stopped,
I hope, I pray.
That cooler heads,
Will save the day.

We the people,
Must stand, must fight.
The bully must go,
The time is right.

tRUMP spoke before the United Nations General Council this morning and once again referred to North Korean President Kim Jong-Un as "Rocket Man."  His entire quote is, “Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime, The U.S. will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea if the regime does not tamp down its nuclear development and if it threatens the U.S. and its allies."

He is the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and stoops to schoolyard juvenile name calling.  What an embarrassment!!!

Demonstrations, and yes looting, continue for the forth day today in St. Louis, Mo. over the acquittal of a white officer who shot and killed a black man at the end of  pursuit.  The cops were heard chanting, "who's streets? Our streets," after clearing the streets last night.  Where have we heard those chants before?  Oh yes, from the white supremacists in Charlottesville.  Coincidence?  As "Gibbs" from NCIS would say, I don't believe in coincidences.

“That” Bridge

We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Only works up to a point.
For the day will come,
When the time is nigh.
And you’re standing right in front of it.

We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
A bet surely to be called.
A decision to be made,
A die to be cast.
Take your hand and make the most of it.

We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Diversion by any other name.
Take the first step,
Then another if you dare.
And soon you’ll be in the midst of it.

We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Looking back causes quite a stir.
But the past is past,
And the future ahead.
And we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
