Autumn Has Arrived

Crisp colorful leaves dance to the ground

accumulating in people’s yards and drives,

crunching underfoot.

Temperatures drop and cooler breezes

whisper softly through the barren trees,

causing a shiver.

Golden sunsets lay low in the western skies

commencing earlier and earlier each evening,

foretelling earth’s slumber.

Hot pumpkin spice and crackling wood fires

tantalize the mind and tease the taste buds,

intimating change.

Autumn has arrived!!!
