Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal pushed for a voucher program that would allow state funds to be used to pay for religious schools. Although it sounds unconstitutional, using taxpayer money to fund someones faith, it passed.

State Rep. Valarie Hodges says she had no idea that the overhaul of the state's education system might mean taxpayer support of GASP Muslim Schools.

In her shock, shock I tell you, the good Rep. stated, "I actually support funding for teaching the fundamentals of America's Founding Father's religion which is Christianity, in public schools or private schools."

Rep. Hodges went on to say, placing foot in mouth, "“Unfortunately it will not be limited to the Founders’ religion,” Hodges said. “We need to insure that it does not open the door to fund radical Islam schools. There are a thousand Muslim schools that have sprung up recently. I do not support using public funds for teaching Islam anywhere here in Louisiana.

That freedom of religion can be a tricky thing.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander as well.
