Some, maybe even some of you, may find this disgusting, terrible, or shameful. Yet, I was in the living room while my son watched a television show where people were shooting zombies and driving stakes thru their head etc. So, we're ok with violence and gore and bloodshed of every kind, but disgusted by the sight of the human body. Why are we suprised then when people go on shooting rampages? How can politicians like Mitt Romney blame gun violence on broken homes and single parents?
After thought: You know, you don't ever find those doing these shootings doing them naked!!!

Friday evening Karen and I went to the football game between the Colony Titans and Chino Cowboys at Chino H.S. The game was tied 7-7 at the half. Colony then went into self-destruct mode and gave up 21 points in the third quarter. We ended up losing the game 28-14. Colony played terribly, or Chino played real well, depending on how you look at it.
As I said, the game was played at Chino H.S., which some of you may remember, is my alma mater. I had to watch the game from the visitors side of the field for the first time in my life. I spent many a cold evening watching the Cowboys play football from those stands shown below. When I was at Chino H.S. we had a terrible football team every year. We were known for out basketball and cross country teams back then.

It is said that religious beliefs are like climbing a mountain. Each religious believer, whether he be Christian, Islam, Jewish, Mormon, or Buddhist, all start at the bottom of the mountain. Their beliefs differ widely and they start from different areas of the bottom of the mountain. As they climb, the mountain begins to narrow and their beliefs start to come closer with one another. When you reach the tip of the mountain you find that our beliefs are the same - there is but one God. "One God - many names." You also find that we are all one, and one with God.
My son-in-law, Bruce, posted this on Facebook this morning. I think it is well said.
I wish my moderate Republican friends would simply be honest. They all say they're voting for Romney because of his economic policies (tenuous and ill-formed as they are), and that they disagree with him on gay rights. Fine. Then look me in the eye, speak with a level clear voice, and say," My taxes and take-home pay mean more than your fundamental civil rights, the sanctity of your marriage, your right to visit an ailing spouse in the hospital, your dignity as a citizen of this country, your healthcare, your right to inherit, the mental welfare and emotional well-being of your youth, and your very personhood." It's like voting for George Wallace during the Civil Rights movements, and apologizing for his racism. You're still complicit. You're still perpetuating anti-gay legislation and cultural homophobia. You don't get to walk away clean, because you say you "disagree" with your candidate on these issues.

I headed east on the 60 frwy to ride along the Santa Ana River trail out of Riverside. I got past the 15 frwy and the Santa Ana winds were-a-howlin'. So I did a couple of loops around Puddingstone Lake instead.
It was a nice day at Puddingstone Lake, with clear skies and temps in the low 80's. Saw lots of rabbits, squirrels, and ducks on the pond. Did 20 miles in all.
