Karen and I were lucky enough to meet Val Kilmer at the Ontario H.S. auditorium in November of '13 when he performed his one-man show "Mark Twain." 

Last Saturday New York Police Officers turned their back on Mayor DeBlasio as he spoke at the funeral of a fallen officer, Rafael Ramos.  A shameful political act in my mind.

Happy Birthday to actor Martin Milner who turns 82 years old today. Martin is best know in my house as Officer Malloy on "Adam 12." He is married and has four grown children.

This one photograph stirs lots of memories.  My family came out to California from Minnesota in a four-door Chevy Belair like this one.  Imagine two adults and five kids crammed into a car this size.  I was usually in the front seat between mom and dad. 

I can remember going to the A & W drive-in in Chino and getting my food on trays placed at the window.  Anyone else remember the baby burgers and baby root beer mugs?  My friend Charm worked as a carhop at that A & W.

Of course, the speaker on the pole is from the days of drive-in movies. 

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Alyssa Jayne Milano who turned 42 yesterday.  Ms. Milano is an actress, producer, former singer, and owner of a sports clothing line for women called Touch. 

At age 11, Ms. Milano starred as "Samatha" in "Who's the Boss" with Tony Danza. She was on the TV series from 1984 to 1992.  She is best known around my house as "Phoebe Halliwell" in the TV series "Charmed."  Ms. Milano was in Charmed for 179 episodes, from 1998 to 2006.

Ms. Milano is married to Creative Artists Agency agent David Bugliari and they have two children, a boy Milo Thomas and a brand new daughter Elizabella Dylann. 

Ms. Milano is a big Los Angeles Dodger fan and writes a blog for the MLB website.
