I've told people before that I knew a guy who had an under-the-dash record player in his car and they just sort of looked at my like I was crazy (that's a whole other topic) or just went ya ok cool.  But here is a photo of one to prove that I'm not crazy (my mother had me tested).  It was actually the precursor of the CD player now that I think of it.  The problem with this was that the needle jumped when you hit a bump.
