Seniors, like this old truck,

may be difficult to appreciate.

Spend a little time,

Offer a little love,

then sit back and watch them glow.

Seniors, like this old truck,

May be uncomfortable to look at.

Clean ‘em up,

Dress ‘em up,

Then sit back and watch them shimmer.

Seniors, like this old truck,

May be invisible in the neighborhood.

Get the engine started,

Take them for a spin,

Then sit back and watch them hum back to life.

Seniors, like this old truck,

May be ignored and abandoned.

Offer an eager ear,

Listen to their stories,

Then sit back and share their love.
