My Ode to Saltine Crackers

Saltine Crackers are the best,

I admit without duress.

I like them in my Wendy’s chili,

or Vince’s soup: Get in my belly!!

My love for Saltine’s started young,

fresh from school, I’d have me some.

Eat a whole bag and not get sick,

wash them down with Nestles Quick.

I admit, alone they’re dry,

and lacking taste, I cannot lie.

But sometimes they just hit the spot,

especially if that’s all ya got.

I cannot stop this much is true,

I love my Saltines through and through.

Please don’t hate me for this quirk,

My 12-step program just didn’t work.
