My Moon
She rises into the eastern sky,
and speaks to me in hushed whispers.
Words of encouragement.
Words of love.
In a language only the moon and I dare
share.
She climbs into the sky in full
lustre,
filling my heart with her radiance.
A beacon of strength.
And twinkle of iridescence.
Lavishing me with her endless devotion.
She drifts across the ebony sky,
casting her glow for all to see.
My greedy heart aches,
For I must share her adore.
What lover can bear to give in.
She sinks into the far off abyss,
Returning to the earth mother’s loving
womb.
A tear forms.
A heavy sigh.
Farewell my love. I bid you adieu.
