When is enough enough?

Kids in their school?

No that’s not enough.

Gays in a night club?

Dismissed in a huff.

Folks at a concert?

Too early to tell.

Families in a church?

We’re sorry as hell.

Blood on the desk tops,

Blood on the ground.

Blood in the church pews,

Blood all around.

Victim after victim,

Bent this way and that.

Tell the ghastly story,

Facing death where they sat.

 I’ve seen the carnage,

I’ve waded through the blood.

Seen bodies blown apart,

Seen their guts in the mud.

I’m so sick and tired,

Of your thoughts and your prayers.

Cuz more death is coming,

No one seems to care.

Guns are the tool,

Of this I am sure.

Until they are harnessed,

More death will occur.

I stand here today,

Screaming enough is enough!

It’s time for sane gun laws,

It’s time to get tough!
