Living Through History

We’re living through history,

Of this there’s no doubt.

The 2020 pandemic,

Is what I’m talkin’ about.

A nasty little bug,

Corona virus is its name.

Taking no prisoners,

Seems to be its end game.

So. we’re banished to our homes,

Don’t dare meet face to face.

No ballgames or concerts,

In any large place.

Don’t go to a restaurant,

a club or a bar.

Get fast food thru the drive-thru,

But don’t go too far.

Don’t buy groceries for a year,

Cuz there’s enough to go around.

Things are pretty bad,

But not as bad as they sound.

So, turn off that newscast,

Read a book or watch a movie.

In no time at all,

Things again will be groovy.
