Today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. It's also considered the first day of summer. Sarah Palin chose today as a national day of prayer for the oil spill in the Gulf. We'll see how that works out.

It's said that the Stonehenge monument in England was built to align with the sunrise on the summer and winter solstices. This photo would seem to prove the point.
